Steve Wheeler

Steve

Born in Syracuse, Steve now hails from Fairport, New York. Steve’s introduction to the joy of music came at the age of seven when he was immersed in the singing of Broadway Musicals by his mother. This led to an affinity for the guitar. He also tried his hand at Bass, drums and keyboard but he quickly identified the guitar as his favorite.

His guitar skills became more pronounced when he started his first band, “The Confederate Elicitation of Your Imagination.” He later played with Wolfe J. Flywheel, Hott Sand, Over Easy, Rock-it Science which played for 25 years and his most recent band, The Steve Wayne Band. Steve has performed all over the Northeastern United States and has opened for several national touring acts.

Steve’s drive to become a successful professional guitarist came from within and was influenced by several musical greats such as Santana, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Duane Allman, Dickie Betts,
Al Dimeola, BB King and Steely Dan to name a few.

Today, Steve is an active singer, song writer, and recording engineer. He currently has two albums streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. Many of the songs were written by Steve and he also did the recording, mixing, and mastering.

As a member of Mystic Circus, Steve provides unique guitar inflections, engaging lead vocals, and an array of complex harmonies to the group’s Classic Rock and Country repertoire.
